Re: A photo of the solar eclipse
We had thick cloud cover, couldn't see anything. It did get a bit dimmer out when we were at maximum. We were just around 75% here.
What was more interesting was looking at radio propagation on the AM band during the whole event.

Good ones. I could not get my IPhone to focus on it. I used my welding hood as a filter but still no good. I could see it clearly but getting the camera to cooperate was another matter. Good job on the pictures

Re: A photo of the solar eclipse
Nice David. A bite out of an apple.
We were supposed to be at 85%, but I didn't see it. It looked strange at 3 pm. Later at about 3:20 it got darker but I think that was just clouds. I watched CBS live in Ohio a couple of hundred miles West of here and they got total darkness. Lot's of oos and aahs....
I watched the birds around the feeder, none flipped upside down and the zombies did not come. Mowed the lawn. All in all a good day.

Re: A photo of the solar eclipse
Here, it was a partial eclipse, like a heavily overcast day about to rain for maybe 45 minutes. Now older, didn't even bother to go out, poured me another cup of coffee.

Re: A photo of the solar eclipse
We got the full eclipse here in Elyria. The best part to me was the ability to see some of the solar flair ups in the corona. I did not think that would happen.
