My Small Engine Collection - Gallery Photos
I had intended for some time now to post pics of my small engine collection and now finally got around to it. Not many near me appreciate what I have so I'll seek to share it here!
There's about 20 photos, all located in my personal gallery here:
https://www.coxengineforum.com/gallery/Personal-album-of-twitch/Personal-album-of-twitch-cat_u482.htm
I welcome your comments and hope you enjoy. Cheers!

Mighty fine collection Tim. I didn't see a Space hopper or did I just miss it?

very nice, i love the plexaglass motor mounts and labels, beats the heck out of large parts bins!
Re: My Small Engine Collection - Gallery Photos
Thanks, I hand make them all. Its a bit of effort but I think the results are worth it.
(I'll need to display a Frog Diesel soon. Anyone have a pic of their logo I could use for the label? )

Great display stands!
Here is a Frog logo that I found in some engine test papers. I am a file pack-rat, I already filled a 300gb drive, crashed my original MacBook drive and have many more discs laying around with manuals and pictures on them.

Wow, Admin, sweet! That logo will do perfectly! I've searched for awhile with no luck. Sometimes I can get them from auction ads with box pictures but the Frog has been tough!
Thanks John, the G-Marks are indeed nice little engines. Perfect for small R/C. Hummingbird glow plugs are tough to come by now.
About the "non-existing" black Space Bug Jr: it actually was me that supplied the photos of this particular engine to Mudhen in the thread you are referring to for him to scrutinize. I'm still happy to say I own one of the "genuine authentic" fakes! I love the story and mystery, and will always display it with pride

yes, and I was being sarcastic, lol!
Re: My Small Engine Collection - Gallery Photos
Hi aungmyatoo,
I cut from sheet acrylic the basic shape using templates that I've made. I heat the acrylic to near melting and then press it against wooden forms that I made to hold the proper angles. I create the name tags on my PC using a CAD program.
It takes quite a bit of patience to do it well and took me quite awhile to get good at it. The first few attempts were quite awful with 3 out of 4 ending up in the trash bin. I've made so many now though that I can usually create a "keeper" pretty quickly!

Sure, let me know if there are any more logos you are after, perhaps I may have them.

Tim,
I still need a few NIB engines to complete my late model, Cox manufactured, .051 and smaller FF/CL engines.
1. Killer Bee .049 engine (I have a NIB Estes KB engine, with the Cox International parts to clone one, but don't feel right about that). It might get into the wrong hands some day, and would be very hard to tell from the real thing.
2. Golden Bee engine. (Gave all of mine away years ago, before I decided to start my very meager collection.)
3. Medallion .049 engine. (I have a NIB version with exhaust throttle, and slit exhaust ports for trade.)
Could also use a NIB Cox TD .09, as mine has non-annodized collet, and TD carb body. Probably also an Estes engine, as there is no manufacture date stamped on the card insert backing. I plan to fly this one, but might be convinced to trade.
Please keep me in mind if you have, or come across any of these you want to trade.
Thanks,
Bill
