The "Sudden Swap Meet"!!! Columbia, Missouri Today !
Been parked on the fence, trying to decide whether or not to make a run to Columbia, Missouri (220 miles ONE way) for a Swap Meet out there. Finally pulled the trigger on it, loaded up my friend Patti, and headed out after work yesterday. My brother A.J. lives close-by in Jefferson City, and so met us there to check things out.

3/30/2013 -- Columbia, MO (E) MMRCA FLYING FIGERS SWAP MEET. Site: Vfw Post 280. Roger Hills CD PH: 573-449-4555 Email: rogerhills48@yahoo.com. Visit: www.mmrca.org. For more information please see web site. Free Admission. Food and drinks for sale on site. Vendor set up 9AM. Doors open to public 10-2 Sponsor: MID MISSOURI RC ASSOCIATION

They had a fair turn-out, and I spotted some 1/2A stuff that needed relocating!
I got these four engines, 3 Babe Bees and a Wen Mac Mk.III for $25:
The Bees are loose, and not to badly beaten. Two of them have non-screened intakes, while one is screened. The Mac is not turning, and is messing it's needle valve, but looks otherwise workable.
I also got some un-used M.A. 10-6 props for a couple bucks each, another Hobbico Field Charger, and was just given an Orbit Transmitter, sans antenna. Need to see if anyone here or over in the Vintage Radio Control Society might want it for shipping fees.
The place had the usual mix of trainers, 3-D, Pattern, Whirly Birds, and such. No control liners to be seen.
There WAS a very utilitarian-looking gyro-copter, but I didn't catch the owner for any details:
A few stalled dreams:
AND, some dreamers that are still going strong:
But now, back home, with a little more stuff to wedge into my packed shop...

Hey Bob,
Shoot me a note on which one(s) you want! I got enough Bees to take me out past the nursing home and truly don't need any more, but was NOT gonna just leave these guys lying in their box, and walk away after driving 200+ miles!
I guess, ultimately, bees ARE my favorite too...being the engine that got me started with all this craziness in the first place. Too bad there's not some way to calculate just how many total miles I've flown by way of these unpretentious little engines...

Nice find, those heads are very old. Could even have the old pistons.
