But what if your uncle is in to "needle-point" of poinsettias?
Or were looking for an inheritance in a few years? Shameful!

Nice. My Dad has one of those. Very nice motor. No powerhouse, but very reliable.

They really are great motors. I have a .40 FP on a .40 size sport trainer, and it hauls it along as fast as I care to go.
Re: My Uncle's Birthday Gift
The LA series was also actually one of the best control line engines ever made, set up to run a steady two cycle or the classic two-four-two (harder to set up) a LA 46 was a close match for the Super Tigre .46 and close to a ST.51, for R/C they worked just fine, but got a bad rap as they didn't have the RPM as some of the others.
Re: My Uncle's Birthday Gift
I have never used an OS in flight only bench run then passed on. They also go GREAT as a diesel or so I have been told.
THis is because of there low RPMs as glow they get great torque as a diesel.

OS .40 LA
Nice gift.
In my country we say to someone who has a birthday.
Hundred to survive.
That is your life not last hundred years.

Hi Indra,
The O.S. FP series and the later LA series engines were designed to be lower cost sport engines, they're not 'schnurle ported' or have ball bearings, that and the high O.S. quality make them great, lightweight engines ideal for U/C.
