Lawn ornament repair time..

Lawn ornament repair time..
I wouldn't be Roddie without having spare lamps.. organized by wattage/base-type in separate plastic bags. Still.. there's always that light set that 1/2 of it won't light.. no matter what you do. Hey.. It's all about the "joy".. (just ask Clark W. Griswald)
Had to fix this tree-top star. The mount-pin had broken off. Luckily I found a hardwood dowel that fit.. cut it to length and hot-melt glued it in.

That little tree with the star that I fixed, won't light. I should have plugged it in beforehand.. My wife just informed me that all of the outdoor light strings; either don't work.. or 1/2 the string won't light. So much for preparation...

I had started buying LED's in the after Christmas sales for a couple year. Then I stopped, the LED's don't last very long either.

I decorated outside till my ornaments and light strings mostly broke. I haven't decorated since... I even bought new light strings... LOL
I don't want to decorate before halloween or thanksgiving, and it is too blasted cold and windy after thanksgiving... I need to get the roof line lights out in the summer and just leave them unlit. Really, the only way.

Yes.. only you'd know they were there.. of course; unless someone posts a photo of you up on a ladder, in June.. holding a string of lights and a stapler..
