Interesting article about the DH Mosquito

Post  KariFS on Sun Jan 15, 2017 5:13 am

An article about the "Wooden Wonder". Pretty impressive and interesting IMO, especially the parts about the structure.

http://migrate.legendsintheirowntime.com/LiTOT/Mosquito/Mosquito_draft.pdf

EDIT: The PDF is a bit slow to open (perhaps a sudden peak in traffic or something), here's a link to an html page with about the same text content:

http://migrate.legendsintheirowntime.com/LiTOT/Mosquito/Mosquito_Av_4405-06_DA.html

In the end of that page there is a link to the PDF file. The PDF is a scan of the original magazine article from 1944 and has more pictures.

Thank you in advance for this post (got to use my airports WiFi to view it later. The Mosquito is one of my favorites, and it's construction and performance are incredible.

Another of my favorites.

Edit add- Ha Kari and Kim, you just cost me a happy forty nine bucks (shipped).  It should look nice sporting a couple of my Enya .09/.15's.

Bob

PS - Thanks for those links Kari. Much more complicated laminate than I thought. The Spruce Mosquito of Gooses.
