Re: Name this Engine
OhBee if you mean the Grom (its name outside the US is Mini Street eXtreme 125 aka MSX 125) it is very popular in the US, lots of youtube videos dedicated to it...it has a 125 ccm 4-stroke 10HP aircooled engine with a 4 speed sequential gear...I ride it at around 90km/h on longer distances and feel ashamed at the gas station cashier when pay in coins only for the gas of which it slurps 1.85l per 100km i.e. features about 127 miles/gallon (US). I think it sells in the US at most Honda dealerships at around 3.4k USD. A fantastic bike that I am very happy with even if it is kids younger than my son who typically ride it ...

Re: Name this Engine
Wow Bob! A CA160 and an S90 with NOT rotted out exhaust mufflers! Nonexistant stuff around here! I also had an S-90! Being a honda service tech for over 40 years I had pretty much all of them. 305's,450cl's,Superhawks. Used to have a garage full. All I have left is my 1973 CB 750 that I bought new....Last ridden in 2007,but properly winterized and stored. I kick it over occasionsly!

Re: Name this Engine
Seeing the XR reminds me of my bike which was a 77 Honda Elsinore 175. I owned it for 6 years and sold it for a Yamaha XT 550 which I bought in 83. I still own the Yamaha which gets ridden frequently. I love bikes and hopefully this year my 73 KZ -900 will be running.

Re: Name this Engine
Nice bike balough! Havn't seen a sequential gearbox in a Honda since the trailbikes of the 70's. I love the old bikes! Should have kept ALL of mine! They were eventually all sold off to support other hobbies. My last purchase was a 6 cyl CBX Sport touring model. Also now gone.

welcome to CEF....sorry nobody caught on that the engine in first post is yours
you are seeing a lot of topic creep and I apologize for the group
most of us think it is one of the 60 70s honda twin but not enough in the photo to tell size as the 150cc to 225cc all looked the same from a distance
