Cameron .19 Marine Engine

Just picked up this Cameron marine engine. I never owned a boat motor before and thought it was really neat and wanted to share. Don't know to much about the company Cameron, I know they made airplane and car engines also. It came complete in new condition, not run.

Nice !! Don't this engine have the water pump in the rear ? Parts breakdown ? This Site Rocks!

I doubt that there is any pump inside the back plate. It is just an inlet and outlet in order to flow some cooling water over the regular backplate, a common solution at the time which means that there very few extra parts compared to a regular engine. It is just a flat plate with two connections that sits over the regular backplate.

Yeah there was no water pump like Surfer_kris was saying. I found some more information and it uses a water scoop behind the propeller, very interesting.

This is something you don't see every day, a nice piece and collectible. It really looks great
