Sorry Davenz13, need to hang onto that design for perhaps next year. I know I've had to turn a few others away who sent me late designs, just to be fair to those who got their in in-time.
I have a hammer and chisel ready to get that Spider Box out of my display case.

No problem at all Jacob, I just saw the bump and thought it was still running.
Too much on the go lately![bounce](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_bounce.gif)

If it's possible to include Dave's design with whomever the winners is...……….put me down for two of each.

I'm perfectly fine with including it. It's a great design. Just so long as everyone who already submitted a design is okay with it.
I want to have this poll posted within the next day or two.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
I - for one who submitted their design by the deadline - also like Davenz13's design, but feel there is no good answer to whether I agree to have him in the competition or not.
1. If I say yes, the chances of those - including mine - who complied with the rules of submission will be diluted for reasons we are not responsible for i.e. the delay in the poll. And how about those applicants whose late submission was already turned down by Jacob? Why do we not include them as well? With a poll organized as originally announced, this question would not have been tabled at all. I am not blaming Jacob for the late poll - I can only be grateful to him for this fantastic competition event and the prize he offered - , but feel my - and those others who complied - chances would be diluted .
2. If I say no, I look inflexible, and will earn the negative sentiments of those who favor Davenz13's design and will dilute my chances again....so what do you expect me to say?
Maybe I should simply renounce my participation and withdraw my design. Rules are rules, but the CEF community's majority is free to decide as you want. Being the first, and maybe the only one of the applicants to voice my opinion, has already cast my dice in the poll, anyway.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
As András says "rules are rules". Also rearranging all the designs that I turned down for late entry would only delay this more.
I would like to do this again next year as well. Only without the hangups (on my end, little to do with the shirt contest).
I have everything put together, and just about ready to post.
So, Dave, and all the others who have sent me designs after the deadline, hang onto them for next time.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Thanks Jacob and Eric this is fair! Not just with us in but with those who were late and should wait till next year.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
I agree completely. I missed the boat and got the wrong idea from the bump. It isn’t fair to let late entries in and I’m glad it’s been sorted (and embarrassed that I caused a hiccup in the preceedings).
Also a thank you for the nice comments.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Hmm, rules is rules but January 11th passed a month ago. Seems like an extension of a few days for the late starters to contribute shouldn't be out of the question. But, I realize this puts an additional burden on Jacob which is unfair in itself.
If it boils down to "rules", well we all know the old saying. If it boils down to first and second prizes I would gladly donate one of my NIB Cox engines to the second place finisher.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Not my call, but the overall point is to come up with a new T-shirt. The prize is just a bonus and shouldn’t be a bone of contention.
Whatever is decided is fine with me.

Well Bob if you mean the saying : "..rules are there only to break them.." I know what you mean but obeying rules here will reinforce the reputation of CEF as the most friendly and fair site, let alone the frustrations of those who would be hurt by breaking the rules also being avoided..
Your offer for the prize of 2nd runner up is an exemplary gesture!

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
Dave gracefully bowed out, so I'm guessing we're all ok?
This might be a neat annual or biennial thing. Not
necessarily a contest, but maybe an open forum for a new
tee shirt design. All that "stuff" aside, being the poster boy
for basal cell carcinomas(skin cancer), I prefer long sleeve
tees.

Re: CEF T-Shirt Design Contest
If I go with Teespring, I believe I could set it so the design can be printed on various different shirts (short sleeve, long sleeve, etc...).

I'm not a player in this contest. I have no artistic or creative ability and couldn't gen up a design if my soul depended upon it.
But I have conducted a couple of give aways here and in the last one a member bent my "rules" a bit. So to avoid contention among the others I sent engines to each that participated, internationals included and the mailings alone cost me a chunk. And we all remember the troubles that Fred/Rob had with Fred's recent endeavor. The point being that these experiences do not always turn out clean.
If it's Jacob's and everyone's decision to stand by the rules, I have no problem with that and will return my Cox engine to the display case. That said, I sure would like to see Dave's submission given a chance.
Bob
