Running / Flipping / OK Cub .049 A Update * Got A Scream ++
Hello All the other day seemed to bee a good day to try and run this Brand New engine i got off Ebay , only 1 bid 9.99 +shipping and it appears to bee an older than the ones i got from Ted before he shut the doors for good one But still New statiss . Anyway i think i got it broke in before it finally started to only run a litte , i didn't get to adjust it because i was the camera man and the needle was a lot closer than i wanted to bee sticking my figures into area !! Hurt my hip flipping this bugger so i am NOT as happy as i thought i was going to Bee ?!! Here is a short video of it after 10-15 mins of flipping ( and hea i read the instructions on how to ) https://youtu.be/MlqO3a618kA And after THAT i just had to hear some noise i could understand Then the second run After i flooded it refueling and tring to start and bee cameraman too Either way i enjoyed running engines since it had been too long !!

Cool. The ones I got from Ted have the needle on the other side. I flipped 1 for about 20 minutes the other day with no startie.

Nice run and video. I have run my OK Cub engines on the stand as well, and they appear as yours. Lots of flipping, so I used my electric finger to speed things up.... And on another note, hope you and your hip heal up quickly. All the best!

Re: Running / Flipping / OK Cub .049 A Update * Got A Scream ++
Recently there was a post with a engine having the conrod twisted due to cylinder removal. I was given a beam mount case (.049B?) with the conrod in the same situation. I ordered a new cylinder from Ted. I just received it last week and this was in and around the time the website was dropped. I was told by many that these NOS parts which were just in bins don't always have a good fit. I haven't put my engine together as of yet but this thread is a bit concerning. Why these new engines are so problematic in starting is not a good thing. Are they being offered too much prime? Battery not properly lighting off the plug?

Mine has good comp. and would pop about every time but just wouldn't take off and run till that one time , like i said if it needed breaking in i think i did that LOL ANyway i was thinking about the power supply too and in less it takes more than 1.5 V I don't see the problem there (( the Cox engine ran fine till i flooded it second time around and it had not ran in over 6 months. I will try it again but maybe tomorrow , cooled off here and rain off /on . The engine is in the shop right now but i will take your advice that its a A . I had flooded it a few times thinking it just was not getting the fuel with no joy . The old fuel hose on it had a crimp in it but i straightened it somewhat ,, next time i get it to run? i am going to leave the batt. on it till ii can get it tuned in ! But as Joe said he has a few of these (we talked about it ) and has not been able to get one fired off .
