This was posted on Adrian Duncans website.
Bill Mohrbacher has lost his battle with cancer, leaving us on March 14th, 2020.
Bill was a prolific poster on this site and an a vast knowledge of model engines. I stood corrected by him quite a few times.

Re: Bill Mohrbacher
That's very sad news. I was with Bill this past Thanksgiving at a swap meet. I could tell he wasn't looking well but we had a very nice talk for a few hours. Bill was incredibly knowledgeable. I had a old Fox .049 that my dad had given me, he told me to bring it along that day. Bill took the time and got all the parts I needed. That was the kind of person he was. The engine is currently running. God speed Bill

Re: Bill Mohrbacher
My sincerest condolences to Bill’s family and friends. Had the opportunity to meet and talk with him at the Toledo swap meet a few years back. Thanks to Old Engine Rod’s request of anyone going to Toledo to meet Roland Friestad, who was selling some engines, Bill was there representing SAM He had a really cool display of his antique model engines and let me hold his “Tie-Tack” TD010. So sad to hear of his passing.

So sorry to hear this. I never met him but know of his influence in this hobby. We shared procession of Enya's most rare engine and swapped PM's about it and others.

I sure hope he made provisions for his collection. Would be a shame if they were all scattered about. I imagine someone who collects like that had a plan. It would be a good museum collection.

Reading his obituary, there is no mention of children, so possibly no-one to continue Bill's legacy, which is a concern. Collections like his deserve to be kept together.

My sincere condolences to his family and close friends and may I humbly say that his memory and spirit will always be present in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
Tasos.

Re: Bill Mohrbacher
Sorry to hear of the sudden and unexpected passing of GWILLIEFOX, my condolences to the family. He was a very humble person, enjoyed his replies, observations and experiences. Such a humble guy, I didn't know he was the international president of MECA.
He passed away a day after my birthday, only 10 years older than me. I am grateful for the wealth of knowledge he shared. If he knew the Lord, then I will see him some day future. Thank you Bill for your contributions to this forum.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 World English Bible wrote:For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

Re: Bill Mohrbacher
For those that never met Bill, here's a picture that was on another forum. I don't recall this picture and this is one that was just taken this past November. From left to right, Roy Glenn, in the middle the infamous Larry Scarinzi, Bill Mohrbacher on the right and in the background is my son Shawn.
The engine that Larry is holding is a Larry Scarinzi tuned Fox .36X, Larry would perform his magic on these engines with his lightning bolt LS engraved on them. Larry's engines were not like any other Fox .36X's as he did extensive modifications to them. Bill was in search of one which are not so common to find today, My buddy Dan somehow after finding one gifted the engine Larry is holding to Bill. Bill was ecstatic as it fulfilled his collection.
