Last of the Enya Diesel engines purchased off of Enya's website.
Well it took from the month of September (the 4th) to yesterday October 21,2020) to get my 3 diesels from Ken Enya.
The last three diesel engines he had. You look on his website now it says "sold out"
Ken told me that I was getting the last ones he had. The mufflers were included with the prime nipple which is not the normal muffler available.
Ken has a few more .11 glow and .15 glows available, but when they are gone, they are gone.
Also got "two" Ultra 11CX glow and 15 glow as well along with the mufflers for them.

I will add that my Enya MK II .15 diesel is the most impressive diesel I've ever ran. It's currently on a combat plane and it starts within a few flips. It runs beautifully.

Yes, the modern style enyas with chromed cylinders are great. I stocked up about 10 years ago and still have not gone through the lot...
I'm wondering which version you actually have there. In the past the "Ultra" version was ABC, while the earlier non "ultra" were AAC (and a little lighter). The carb also looks more similar to the glow .11CX carb, at least on the outside. In the past the diesel version had the regular airbleed carb and a smaller bore. Here are few images of mine, as a comparison:

Re: Last of the Enya Diesel engines purchased off of Enya's website.
O.K. here are the engines that were in the box along with the mufflers and other accessories for these Enya and other Enya engines I have. (not the Enya engines in the black boxes)
Surfer_kris wanted to know which version I actually have there?
In the black Enya boxes I have three CX11 diesels, these have the G4.5 carburetor.
Not in the photo but have "three" of them, the Enya 11CX glow engines, which use the G5.5 carburetor.
The bigger Enya boxes are the Ultra CX11 diesels, these have the TN101C carburetor with brass insert to reduce venturi size for the diesel engine. This is the same carburetor used for the glow engine.
The Enya Ultra 11CX glow, these use the TN101C carburetor. Same as the diesel without the brass insert.
Like Surfer_kris said, the CX11 engines are AAC and the Ultra CX11 engines are ABC.
The AAC engines were more expensive to produce compared to the ABC engines.
Another difference between the CX11 engines and the "Ultra" engines are the bore and stroke.
The CX11 (AAC) engines bore and stroke are 13.5x12.5 which is a 1.8cc engine. (engine is lighter in weight)
The Ultra CX11 (ABC) engines bore and stroke are 14x13 which is a 2.09cc engine. (engine is littler heaver)
So, I have three of each:
CX11 diesel
CX11 glow
Ultra CX11 diesel
Ultra CX11 glow
I purchased the CX11 diesel and glow engines years ago (2004) from Model Flight in Australia (many other Enya engines from them when they were Enya's dealer).
I didn't know about the difference of the CX11 engine and the "Ultra" engine until this year. Did a little research to see what the difference was and decided to purchase the "Ultra" to go with my CX11 engines.
The largest Enya two stroke I have is the Enya SS25 glow and diesel.
Largest 4-stroke is the 36-4C (glow) and 36-4CD (diesel). Friend of mine has the 41-4CD. Awesome to watch and here it run.
Little afraid to run mine. The head is not assembled to the engine. Shipped that way from Enya.
These will go into my new/used Enya engines foot locker. (under my bed)
The 2nd foot locker has a mix of glow (Cox, Fox, McCoy, OS. etc.) and diesel (PAW, CS, MVVS, Irvine, Rustler, etc.) engines.

The engines that are currently built are the last of them. When they are sold out, that is the end.
Ken Enya told me he'll have parts for your engines until those parts are gone as well.
Most of the workers that were machining and building them are either retired or passed on.
New employees don't have the knowledge and want to get paid a lot more than the previous workers.
The other problem is that electric is taking over the small engines area.
Look at OS, where are their OS-10, or OS-15, or any small engines?
MVVS changed over from engines to electric motors years ago.
Most other engine companies just went out of business. (Thunder Tiger as one example).
Sign of the times?

The writing was on the wall when electric went brushless and LiPo became viable and affordable around 2000. OS still has the 15LA and there is a fairly expensive 11CZ-A. Thunder Tiger's troubles wasn't just engines.

Thanks for the pictures, I had not seen the brass sleeve in the glow carb before, guess that was introduced after I purchased mine.
The diesel engines run very nicely on the super quiet muffler (SM) from Enya, it is a little heavy but I really like the softer exhaust note. Together with a larger prop and lower rpms these are really sweet runners. I'm the only one who is currently running diesel engines at our small local club, and these little gems are always well appreciated by those who are old enough to remember better times.

Enya has done the brass sleeve in glow engine carburetors for diesels for years I have one in my Enya SS25 diesel, in my SS15, and now in my Ultra CX11 engine.
I have two different inserts for my SS25 engine. One small than the other.
I could leave out the brass sleeve and I'll get more rpm but it will make starting the diesel harder.
The smaller the venturi intake the less top end you'll have.
You can do the same thing on glow engines and their carburetors. Lower top end, but longer engine run.
The Ultra CX11 diesel engines I got were built from parts to make them.
When I ordered them off of the Enya website (when it still said "available") I originally order just two. along with the other engines (ordering "two" of each as well).
Got an email from Ken Enya saying he only had only one Ultra CX11 diesel available. If I want the other one he'll have to build it and the order will be delayed. So, he said "if" I could wait, he would take 2% off the order. That's when I ordered one more of the other engines ( to make the order "three" engines each) along with the better "special" mufflers for all the engines.
Ken included the glow plugs for the engines. That was a surprise.
So, I have in that order:
3 x Ultra CX11 glow engines with Special Quiet Muffler (Enya #SM154)
3 x Ultra CX11 diesel engines with included Muffler with priming nipple (Enya #MC154)
3 x 15X-TN glow engines with Special Quiet Muffler (Enya #SM154)
6 x free Enya glow plugs #3:Thumbs UP:
Thank you Ken Enya

Exchange rate from Euro to US dollar makes those engines pricy.
Plus shipping costs (in Euro)

Same situation here shipping items from the US to GER.
USPS costs went crazy many many many "Moonshine" moons ago.
I believe, NOT sure , usps is one of "the blonde" companys.
Sorry to say , but this sounds clear to me.
Glows and Diesels are Antique ? ,..
Yes they are from NOW on Antique and it cant be cheap .
Did you buy an Antique Car lately ? ten times or more of orig "Sales Price".
Modern Lipo Power is much cheaper but only theres no fire aboard.

O.K. Let us leave out the shipping.
The engine Ultra 11CX-D (diesel) from Japan with muffler cost me $114.00
The engine Ultra 11CX-D from Scale Hobby Shop(Germany) with the muffler would cost me $154.99 (at current rate of exchange).
The dollar is stronger against the Yen than it is against the Euro.
The diesel engine comes with the muffler/silencer included from Enya.

So Greg.
I see your in the Chicago area?
Are you a member of the Fox Valley Aero Club? I was years ago (1994 -- 2006).
Originally belonged to IVRC (Illinois Valley Radio Control) 1978 -- 1990.
Rejoined IVRC in 2007. Closer to home and have a permanent field to fly from.

FVRC is 45 min south. I'm in McHenry county and belong to coleagles.com . Wow, I've never heard of IVRC, but they are 100 miles from here. That looks like a great field.

The Fox Valley Aero Club field is located in St. Charles, Illlinois, 1.5 miles west of Randall Rd. on Rt. 38 Lincoln Hwy.
It is 1/2 mile west of the intersection of Peck Rd. and Rt. 38.
I live in Morris IL and getting to the IVRC field is shorter and faster to get to. Straight down on I-80 to LaSalle for a 25 minute drive.
The Fox Valley club was close to an hour drive, straight up Rt 47 into St. Charles (all the stop lights now make it longer - progress).
As for the IVRC field. Farm fields as far as you can see. Have two buildings (heated). Share the one building with the farmer. Port-a-john. Picnic tables. asphalt runway, helipad / u-control circle.
Spring and fall we do free flight (before the crops get too tall (spring) and when the crops are harvested.
It's a great place to fly.

Sad to hear that Ken is giving it up for good. He's been in "Liquidation" mode for close to 10 years. I don't think any engines have been produced since 2012 0r 2013. He's been just building some new ones out of spare parts. I've bought a bunch of spares for my engines as they are going to keep getting scarcer...

I like running diesel engines because you don't need a lot of stuff to start the engine.
Just your bottle of diesel fuel, a rag and that's it.
Compared with a glow engine: battery/clip (to clip on the glow plug for ignition), fuel, and a rag.
The only downside now a days is the availability of getting already mixed diesel fuel.
My recent acquisition from Ken is "two" Enya 36-4C glow engines.
Waiting on the "two" Enya 20 engines ordered as well.
see my posting of these engines elsewhere.
Ken did have "two" of the Enya 36D-4C available.
He also had "five" of the 15-CX twin needles available.
That was last month.
Checked today (11/30/22) and everything is sold out?
Only thing left is "two" engines for the cars.
I did purchase "one" Enya 36D-4C about 3yrs. ago and have run it and did some tinkering with it to get it to run better.
Though, I wished Enya would have made it to where it had a better contra piston type of adjustment?
It is a fixed compression with head shims and shims for the dead plug (glow plug - plug) to adjust compression.
What you see on the engine is a limited adjustment compression adjustment I made so I don't have to add or remove a shim from the head. It works (somewhat)
Sorry to see that Enya has no more engines to sell on their website?
Hope that I'm still getting the Enya 20 engines I already purchased?
Ken has told me in an email 3 weeks ago that one engine will be the Enya 20-T.V. and the other will be the Enya 20-S.
The "S" is the engine for U-control (no throttle valve)
I'll see if I can get a carb somewhere for it?

Re: Last of the Enya Diesel engines purchased off of Enya's website.
I wish I had known about the 36 4c diesels, I would have bought one. I also have a Glow 36 4c TN al Chrome and I got the improved muffler for it too. I have a couple 11CX Ultra diesels that might go on a twin on day + an SS25 Diesel I just bought, I found a great deal on a used one on FB...
I'm a pretty big Enya fan. My very first R/C plane (1982) was a 1/2A Sterling Tri Pacer with an Enya .09 IV on it. I still have both. The .09 found its way on a Herr Little Extra. That one flew / still flies awesomely (Can torque roll as shown in the video). I suped-up the Enya with a single ball bearing case (As light as no BB), the larger throat carb from a later model enlarged a little bit more, and a loud (but not restrictive and super light) U/C tongue muffler.
Here's the Little Extra in action:
I'd like to rebuild the Tri Pacer much lighter. It didn't fly well. My 2nd Plane was a Midwest Aerostar with an Enya SS40 BB (About 1986). The Aerostar met its demise when the stab separated in flight... I still have the SS40BB, and many others... There's another row behind with a few more.

Re: Last of the Enya Diesel engines purchased off of Enya's website.
If you are interested, here is a site for some Enya engines.
I have acquired "two" Enya SS25 diesel engines from them last year.
What is nice is that they include the muffler with the engine.
They were $178.73 each Plus shipping
https://www.singahobby.com/index.php/shop?filterBrand%5B0%5D=ENYA&filterFromPrice=0&filterToPrice=0&limit=100&rangeslider=0%3B0
Currently waiting on a Hatori header and tuned pipe for my Enya 60-XLF Al-chrome rear exhaust engine.
Got this engine from a friend when he gave up flying R/C formula planes (pylon racing).
Plus, he couldn't find a header since Enya didn't carry headers and tuned pipes anymore.
No one was wanting a rear exhaust engine without an exhaust system besides.

Re: Last of the Enya Diesel engines purchased off of Enya's website.

I have acquired "two" Enya SS25 diesel engines from them last year.
What is nice is that they include the muffler with the engine.
They were $178.73 each Plus shipping

Currently waiting on a Hatori header and tuned pipe for my Enya 60-XLF Al-chrome rear exhaust engine.
Got this engine from a friend when he gave up flying R/C formula planes (pylon racing).
Plus, he couldn't find a header since Enya didn't carry headers and tuned pipes anymore.
No one was wanting a rear exhaust engine without an exhaust system besides.
Received my Hatori header and tune pipe from Singapore Hobbies Thursday December 1st.
Will post photo and information of the Enya 60XLF Al-chrome rear exhaust on another posting.
