Wire stands I made a few years ago to display my TD engines like the TD .051 above. I also made some for my Bee engines but decided not to ever use them.
At first glance I thought "Now how did he get that engine in the bottle." Nice wire stand, simple, no distraction and easy to build.
A lot of pictures of stands are not appearing, just getting a red X.......
My stands.

Re: Engine Display Stands
Radial mount engines can have really simple display mounts made by cutting pieces of 3mm sheet (plywood, PVC, acrylic etc.) and making a base board; either single.. or a long board to display several engines. Simply rip a channel down approx. 1/4" deep on a 3/4" to 1" thick baseboard using a table saw, close to the rear edge of the baseboard. The blade-width (kerf) is close to 3mm.. You could also alternate cross-cuts for displaying multiple engines on a long board with some facing straight-on.. and others with a side view. Make the mounts high enough to fit into the channel with plenty of clearance between the engine and baseboard. Single bases will balance better with the channel near the back. The engines (with their mountings) can be repositioned/swapped out quickly for inspection etc. The base(s) can be painted, varnished, personalized with a wood-burning tool. The possibilities are endless. It wouldn't be difficult to make beam-mounts either. Make them for the engine first; long enough to clear the rear of the case and install them on the engine. Mark and drill two through-holes in the 3mm vertical plates for small wood screws to be installed from the backside, into the back of the beams. You may already have most of the materials needed to build this type of display.
Re: Engine Display Stands
Good point roddie, the possibilities are endless.
Here is one I cooked up a couple of weeks ago using my miter saw and some left over laminate flooring.
I guess I have enough left over flooring to do a couple of thousand just like it. Simple to do a beem mount too, just cut a couple of sides for the base. Home Depot/Lowes usually have samples and/or damaged flooring for sale.

These are great looking stands. There are different size stands and I just want to confirm the right size. Can anyone confirm if it is the 2" Height x 1-1/2" Width x 2-5/8" Depth or is it the 3-1/8" Height x 2-1/4" Width x 3-1/2" Depth? Thanks, Andy
