"Summer S.M.A.L.L." 2022
Just spotted this listing in the A.M.A. Event Calendar, and think it might be a good time to begin the thread for this great Summer Fun-Fly.
There's plenty of time for building and planning...which means absolutely nothing as far as my final preparedness is concerned...for anyone thinking about making the journey to Little Rock.
The following information will probably give you all you'll need, but I'll be happy to help in any tracking down of answers to questions you might have.

Congrats on your flying there, Kim. Wish I could be there, but Fall S.M.A.L.L. would be better timing provided they still do it.

Rolled into Sky Tiger Field around 2:30, after about 6 hours with a lunch stop. Some of the guys were putting up flights in the wind, and doing a good job of handling it.
They headed home, and now I've got the place to myself...watching C-130's doing pattern work over at Little Rock's Air Force Base.
I was too lazy to crank up a castor slinger, but did send the Mavic out for a few laps.
Serious Fun starts tomorrow.

WWOW, That place looks great for flying planes and camping in the great outdoors! SOMuch better than the State Park Campgrounds that pack 'em in like sardines. Looking forward to some more Skycopter Mania ! Have fun and send us videos!
OH, I'm day dreamin'..a six pack of Red Bull, Astronut Style Depends an' a Large Starbucks coffee, I could be there by midnight:

Man, look at that wind sock!! Serious wind. Sure cleared the crowd out quick.
I bet you're still nice and cozy in the van.

Hey Rod!
I had the van chocked-full of planes, and once the rains hit, beat a hasty retreat back to my camper...which was parked a bit close to some big trees.
It all held together though!

WHOA! You aren't in Kansas anymore...you're in ARkansas! It's a toss-up on the camper being next to the trees, A-they provide a windbreak from blowing the camper over or B-they get blown over and land on top of the camper! Stay safe out there.

Re: "Summer S.M.A.L.L." 2022
Thursday started out MUDDY, and only got more so as the S.M.A.L.L. Steppers showed up, and churned the dirt road into goo. The rain was off and on, maintaining a reasonable drizzle between the showers.
The control line circle was set up, along with the R/C's a few stray Free Flighters, and Model Aviation was committed in spite of the wetness.
I got my control liners out for a Photo Op, but didn't put any into the air...gonna do that on Friday.
The weather finally broke late in the day, and we got some fairly dry flying done, but I think everybody was ready to regroup for Friday. The field was pretty sparse by the time I launched my Lazy Bee for a couple flights.
Now the sun is coming up, so time for another round!

On every flight, the planes collected a bunch of Arkansas Tumble Weeds.

"Security" kept an eye out for any trouble...but of course...there was none!

Looks like you all are having a good time, making the best of the weather situation. I didn't realize that Cairo is nearby where you live.

Really nice, thanks for posting Kim. The Quaker with Cox Medallion and older style sliding exhaust throttle, is that yours?
