Thanks Levent, I may give it a try. The crack didn't quite make it to the canopy but it is crazed at the tab. Usually these are difficult to remove but I just pinched it and it came right off. A little Windex cleaned it.
Size perspective. Everyone is familiar with the Stuka, and the little Wen Mac is the model that George mentioned. The TD-1 is half again lighter than the Gilbert.

I keep trying to take a picture of the cracked fuselage, it's there but you really have to look even if you know where it is. The photo shows it up even more than it is to the eye. I found a Kaysun prop, robbed it and the original spinner nut. TD=1 is now back close to factory. You can see on the nose where decals were once applied.

Really nice job on the restore Bob…. I’m sure these were excellent flyers for their time…. Looks like the TD-1 and TD-3 were aimed at hobbyists…. Not long afterward to include scale models to broaden the market…. Smart guy

Really smart guy, planes, trains, and automobiles.
From the AMA history:
Roy pulled a real bonanza of advertising for his company when he took over the flying circle in a
caged-in arena at Disneyland in 1957. There several of his employees would perform hourly
flying demonstrations, teaching young modelers how to fly Cox planes or watch Cox cars zoom
around the track. Often his “pros” would fly two different planes at the same time in the small
space or ask one of the spectators to try flying one.

Poor E-Bay sellers packaging. I see that many times.
Too many sellers did not know how to post safely.
