Wingtip lead-outs...should have done this sooner.

Wingtip lead-outs...should have done this sooner.
I'm gob-smacked. After years of using WD-40 tubes I finally spent some money on a part by application. Usually I scrounge up a "make-do" or "It'll do." Examples are picture hanging wire for lead-outs early on, expired license plates for elevator horns, pen cartridges or WD-40 tubes, etc for lead-out guides. I'm just trying to build my toys cheaply.
After watching eBay for entirely too many days, I ponied-up and bought these. They come from Roddie's neck of the woods...just a few minutes west of Providence, RI.
I'll sandwich them between two thin wingtip plies, and let the lines out of the wings as appropriate. Shoot, I bet they would be great for making crimped terminations in the lines too. I may have to buy a few more bags.
Time to make some wingtips!

Jim!!! Good on you brother! Those look like the smaller of the two sizes of tubes that came with the "Perfect" (brand) #214 LEAD-OUT EYELETS pack.
I scored a "box-full" years ago from a LHS that was closing.
Lots of uses for those Jim......... Assuming their ID is .063".. they make a nice wheel-hub bushing for a .062" (1/16") music-wire axle. I've also used them in my fuel and muffler systems.
