Water cooled exhaust setup on my Trojan F32
The attached images show how I went about cooling the exhaust from my OS 40M engine as installed in a Dumas F32 Trojan model. When the top deck is installed there would be considerable heat built up from the exhaust if no cooling were provided. Essentially, there is a 5/16" brass tube inside a 3/4" brass tube and the ends are soft soldered to provide a simple method of circulating the water. Built this model in 1988.

It flew my Sterling Fledgling for years when I was a club member in Florida. I charged it up this morning for about four hours and pluged it in. Two servoes and it works perfectly. It will take three for the boat. I will cycle it several times over the next couple of days. The nicads seem to be fine and I replaced them about three or four years ago.
Segmented ring on right I believe is the starter cord that came with it.
Good to see so many fine boats show up here. Makes me sad that I sold my "fishing pole" boat due to an impending move. 36" long, too big at the time but now I wish I had found room for it.
Robert, I will devise some sort of a rudder, probably luan sanding sealed and varnished. I have some micro servoes that would fit fine and a spare Futaba.
