I need to go back to RC school..

Geez.......... All I wanted was a modern 2-ch radio for my model boat. Rudder.. and throttle.. (rudder primarily.. 
) I ended up sourcing a 6ch. unit.. that had great reviews.. but when I unpacked it earlier today; It looks (the Tx) slightly different than what I ordered.. and I can't find an image that matches what I have. I have a feeling that it's a revision.. that features an advanced display with an LCD screen.
Here's a photo of the Tx that I ordered.. There was a X2 Rx option that I opted for..
What I received.. which has a different display...

I just have to mess around with it I guess. The units' capabilities seem amazing to me.. but I don't know if I can grasp how the settings menus work.

Looks like a video game controller.
Perhaps there was a design change and all the retailers are still using the old stock photos? Does the manual match the controller and explain the display? Are the specs equal to or better than the one you ordered?

Nice, ”professional rocker” and all 
I guess nowadays everyone has a phone in one hand, so a one-hand RC transmitter is a necessity. Also good for a hobbyist who may have just one fully operational hand

i think Mark is right - good for 2 channel fun fliers and stuff.
