Nice Cox Babe Bee with working W glow head. #2 stepped cylinder. New mylar reed, pickup tube, tube spring, gasket, and yellow prop. Has good compression. I also took the time to polish the engine.

I know everybody has a Babe Bee here but I wanted to offer it up here due to the W head.

Sanded the tank on the lathe with 1000 and then 2000 grit and then used Mother mag wheel polish. Sanded the crankcase by hand to remove the extrusion marks then took mothers to is also. Took about an hour of work to get it in that condition.

An hours work that certainly wasn't lost on me.
Also, I have a few "W" element heads, but that one is the bee's knees.

ill have to get some 1000 and 2000 grit then, i bet i could polish up my old baby bee from 1959 on one of the lathes in the precision machining class that i am taking at a local community college

You can also chuck up the tank on a drill and sand with 320 B Waterproof sandpaper wet or dry. Glow heads can be chucked in a Dremel to do the same but use regular 120 to 180 sandpaper then the wet dry. Follww up both with Mothers.
