If anyone has a copy of these plans I will gladly pay for them.
Also I'm looking for the instruction manual for the Dynaflite Windrifter 8 foot wingspan glider.

Plans for Q-tee
batjac, Oh thank you so very much, really, really, really thank you.
I was even able to download the plans, so very grateful !!!!
This was my first powered airplane way back in the early 80's, I flew nothing but gliders before that, I really wanted to build and fly this now, I remember it flew pretty good with a regular .049, had to reinforce the uprights that the wing sat on and it flew better and lighter without the landing gear, it was a good small plane to start with just getting into powered flight.
So now it's been 30 plus years since I built and flew this plane and I just wanted to do it again, I have built better than 50 powered RC airplanes and I lost count on how many gliders I have built but I'm sure it's more than 50.
Once again I thank you whole heartily.
If there is something I can do for you let me know maybe I can help.

S-Tee
I didn't know about the S-Tee, but I see it is the same as the Q-Tee except that it is a shoulder mount, where as the Q-Tee sits on uprights, which is what I eventually did to my Q-Tee because the uprights would break too easy on hard landings.

Re: need plans for an Airtronics Q-tee .049 powered rc airplane
I built one of those awhile a back and used a babe bee with the tank drilled for an external tank and a throttle sleeve. The throttle worked great, a smooth 5000-12000 rpm with a cox 6x3. I flew it once and decided to stick with control line.

Didn't get the heart thumping and circulation going fast enough for you?JPvelo wrote:... I flew it once and decided to stick with control line.

It got the heart thumping, just in wrong way! I didn't think I was going to get it back on the ground in one piece! I was able to "land" but had to walk a 1/4 mile to retrieve the plane.RknRusty wrote:Didn't get the heart thumping and circulation going fast enough for you?JPvelo wrote:... CL versus RC
Funny I flew CL way back in the early 60's then in 1972 I discovered RC from a friend of mine and have never gone back to CL, I even built CL kits and converted them to RC.
The big difference between CL and RC is that with CL your restricted to a line and a circle you fly in where as with RC you fly where ever you want to and as high as you want to, how much better can you get than that except if your flying the real thing and I do have a real airplane and do fly the real thing, but RC is really a lot of fun.
Sure it's more expensive to fly RC as you have to buy a radio and servos but once you have the radio gear your set, your radio and servos can be installed into just about any RC airplane but that same gear can be installed into a car or boat gas or electric.
Sure it might be harder to learn to fly RC compared to flying in a circle all the time but it is more realistic than just flying in a circle all the time, and the acrobatics are endless.
Flying CL is great for young people just getting into the hobby of flying model airplanes but RC is the upgrade to CL.
Yes I know they have big tournaments and there are still clubs flying CL and that's great.
But if you want to fly your plane without wires and be free to fly where you want and perform maneuvers you can't do with CL planes then RC is the next step.
Oh and one other thing, how many CL flyers can fly for an hour or more, with RC I have flown for more than fours without landing let's see you do that with a CL plane and not get dizzy ! lol
