I like it. I wonder how they fly. I also like how he got the stickers from the white Cox PT-19 trainer and put them on. The stickers actually look much better on these than they did on the Cox plane, IMNSHO.

I have one of the "voodoo Child" planes as well as a little Fokker. I have black widows on both of them. If these planes are built anything like the two I have I'll take one of these in both colors.
I have flown pretty much any maneuver I can fly with each of them no problem. The Voodoo flies fast and turns fast. We have a few guys that fly 1/2A sport combat, we fly combat kittens and lil Satans with black widows, this voodoo child is great for what we do as we are rough on planes and I can buy a New plane for about what a kit cost. I am very happy with my lil Fokker as well.

These look to be very well designed Travis. I especially like the wing attachment system... looks like plywood plates top/bottom for the rubber-bands to bear-on? Are the tail-feathers "one-piece" that bands-on? Nice little wedge-tank! Did you custom build that? Great models for the beginning flyer to learn on... My Cox PT-19 weighs 9.95oz's... I'll bet these weigh 1/2 of that... RTF!!

I couldn't find these PT-19's in the listing... How much do they cost?

He builds the tanks too.  He told me $48 +$12 shipping without an engine.

Just told me he has all he has finished now up on eBay.

Hmmm... $100.00 shipped for an ARTF.

Trying to decide if that's a price I'd pay if I were starting out. It seems a nice plane, and comes with the engine, but not quite RTF. Seems like he used this SureStart Combo Pack:
http://coxengines.ca/cox-.049-surestart-engine-value-combo.html

It'd be more of a RTF if he'd used this package from Bernie:
http://coxengines.ca/cox-c-l-kit-accessory-package-standard.html

But, then he'd be more out of pocket. To call it a RTF he should add some kind of handle and lines. Still, it's great to see that someone's selling a RTF plane on eBay that seems to have a good chance of success for the new flyer. He probably isn't making much per plane he sells. Kudos to him.

Post  RknRusty Sat Feb 08, 2014 6:58 pm

These give me some good ideas for building a fleet this Summer. With the crack I put in the nose of my pride and joy red white and blue Baby Streak on Thursday, my small flying machines are dwindling. It isn't totaled, but it's reaching retirement age, and after seeing you guys build small ones, I think I'm ready to jump into the scratch building crowd.

This reminds me, I still have a story to tell about Thursday. I've been so busy I've neglected my forum entertainment duties.

I don't think $100.00 for a plane with an engine and tank is crazy expensive, it's a cox engine that will last forever and they are 35 bucks alone. It comes with a tank as well.
I can see your argument. His ARF Voodoo Child and LiL Fokker are around $35 each without engine, painted fuel proofed ect. A 1/2A brodak or Black Hawk Kit which I have bought several of are around the same price and then u have to buy paint, dope, covering ect. In some cases controls.
I don't think this guy is making much money on these things.
It's reasonable IMO, I wish I could still but kits for $1.95 as well.
