Me:  You need to stop building planes.  Time to start flying more.
Me:  But look at all those designs I want to build.  Besides, it’s raining out.

Me:  You already have more airplanes than you can fly at one time now.
Me:  Yeah, but I have a variety of planes.  Flying the same old plane every time would be boring.

Me: You don’t fly much anyway, so how could it be boring?
Me: I’m going to fly more when the weather gets nice.  Besides, look at all this balsa I have sitting here.   I need to use it up.

Me:  The Balsa has been sitting there for 25 years, it’ll be good for a few more.  Besides, there’s more to life than building airplanes.
Me:   What?

Me: The yard needs cutting.  The house needs painting.  The cars need tuning.
Me:  The parts for these plans need cutting.  These almost finished planes need painting.  These engines need tuning.

Me: What’s the big deal, it’s only a model.  Why do you want to do it so much?
Me:  But, all the OTHER guys on the CEF are doing it!
Me:  What?

Me: Look at all those engines on the shelf there.
Me: Yeah?
Me: If I don’t use them, it’s like I wasted all that money buying them.  I NEED to build planes for them all.
Me:  You’ve been talking to the wife’s inner voice again, haven’t you?
Me:  Why do you say tha…  I mean, noooooo.

Me: You’re hopeless….
Me: I’m happy….

Funny Mark,

As a kid I used to build plastic car models. I loved it until I was done building and then I would put it on my shelf and there it would sit. Often I would look at it and wish I could play with it.

Ask yourself this... What's the point of building a functional flying model if you never fly it?

Fly now while you are young and build static models when you retire.
