Cool! Look forward to seeing the build, just make sure to stiffen the tips and reinforce the TE joint. The mod i did to the BC was a bit overkill so I think when I build another one I'm just going to laminate the ribs there holding the BC mount. What are you planning on an engine for it? Bean Build
Since I can remember building & flying the JB & other kits from the 50's & 60's I think I'll use either a
Mc Coy 049 or OK Cub 049 for the Old Timey look! That way I can use either type of engine mount.
I might have to do some tune up work on the Mc Coy but the Cub runs well.

Bean Build
Progress on my "Bean" ( sounds kinda funny) The wing is almost complete, I used Epoxy & 1/16 hard wood on both le & te then I went with 1/4" balsa stringers thru the 1/4" holes in the ribs to stiffen up the bell crank platform. Every thing ok so far until I had one of my senior moments! I was thinking about using epoxy on the wing tips & then put them on BACKWARDS! Of course I didn't realize the mistake until for an hour or so and now I have a completely different shape on the wing. Looks kind of ok so I'll leave
it that way for now.
So I'll start on the fuse and try to keep the big end foreward!

Sorry no pictures , my wife is still trying to figure it out!

Bean Build
OK now the Fuselage .....
Since I changed the shape of the wing, why not the fuselage? I guess I just like to change things. I thought the fuse was a little narrow so I cut a new one 1" wider thru the canopy, (3/4" wider above the wing & 1/4" below) it made me feel better. The rudder & elevator are the same shape but cut from 1/8" and sanded down some. The 1/16" was just to thin.
Now I am ready to cover the wing and final assembly, sooo we'll see!
