Solved issue. Once all lubed up and freed reed all is well. nice little engine. I have Super Sniffer lazer kit. might make nice combo. Small Cox Logo

From your question I went in search of an answer cuz mine has good compression

I had for years done as suggested and filter then re-filter my fuel for reed valve cox engines
