I see this mentioned often...not a clue! Aren't they ALL a product of Cox?

It is specific to Cox and it just means that the engine was meant to suit a particular "product", such as a PT-19 or a P-40 etc. I think they usually refer to any suitable replacement engine as a product engine also.
