nitro cleanup
I have some used cox helicopters. How do I clean off the old fuel goo from all the plastic parts. Alcohol isnt working all that well? -Blake

Re: nitro cleanup
Try using some fresh fuel on a rag. I have heard of people soaking plastic parts in automotive brake fluid, but having not done it myself I wouldn't recommend it until someone else chimes in with their experience.
You could maybe try Windex or another common houshold spray cleaner.

_Don't_ use ammonia on plastic. It etches the plastic.

Re: nitro cleanup
Brake fluid works great, it'll take about everything off, goo, paint, etc., and will rinse off with only water. Place part in a plastic bag add enough to cover and let soak. Windex work great for less baked on crap.
Re: nitro cleanup
Ok thanks! But will it hurt the plastic?
