Spitzy parts

Spitzy parts
Anyone here need a needle valve and spray bar for a Spitzy .045, Royal Baby Spitfire or Royal Spitfire? Only Spitzy I have is missing them and there's a current Ebay auction for two, plus the guy wants $13.75 postage to AUS. If someone wants to grab one I'd be happy to take the other, plus you may be able to reduce the shipping cost to me by using a padded envelope or some cheaper option for this tiny part. Can't stand the idea of paying so much for such a small thing.

Otherwise, anyone got a spare they can do without?
Rod.

Re: Spitzy parts
Rod, I put it on my watch list. Maybe, maybe possibly, if I bid and win for us, you could have Bernie ship your 3 bladed props to me...in my order. And I'd pack and ship them to you with the NV? It would be a bigger package, think there'd be any savings to you??
Ps: you have 26hrs to respond b4 eBay bids end.

Re: Spitzy parts
Oh, oh. Rene you posted while I was making a bid on it. I checked my collection of Spitzy types to see if I could help Rod and found one with a busted and incomplete NVA and finding one, I bid on it.
This one is the Baby Spitfire with the same threaded case for the NVA.
If I win it (substantial bid) I will send one to Rod in our names....
Bob

Bob, that's great. I was attempting to help Rod with the shipping costs. As long as you win and share with Rod, that's what we do for CEF members! Thanks.

I always enjoy reading posts like these! CEF members willing to help each other out.
Re: Spitzy parts
Guys, that's fantastic. I appreciate your willingness to help. I just thought that if someone could use one, why should I buy two? I also think the shipping cost would be for a parcel rather than an envelope, which should be adequate. I see it should only be $3-$4 shipping that end. Marleysky, great idea, thanks for the offer. It seems Bob was just a little too willing to jump in & help as well. Bernie's postal costs are pretty good anyway & I haven't yet sealed the deal.
Thanks Bob. I'd expect that sort of help from you. All you guys are great.
Whichever way it works, I'm always like a kid at Christmas when a parcel arrives. It'll be nice to see if the Spitzy will run. Another one saved from scrap I hope.
Rod.

Ditto that! These guys often remind me of our gang of flyers back in the day, coming up with parts for each other to keep the machines flying!
This bunch does it on a global scale though!

I got hold of my first TeeDee 050 RC engine with the help of Bernie and Matt...the US seller on eBay did not ship internationally. Bernie from Canada offered me to ask Matt from Connecticut to win the engine for me then shipped it to my address in Budapest Hungary. I cannot remain grateful enough to these 2 gents.

Re: Spitzy parts
Hey Bob. Thanks heaps. I'm assuming the auction you bid on was the same one I posted about originally. I really appreciate you helping me out, along with others who offered as well. I sometimes feel pretty remote from where the action is when it comes to finding these sort of parts. But then again, remoteness can have its advantages.
Bob, I'll PM off my details and look forward to closing the deal.

Re: Spitzy parts
Parts for my Spitzy arrived today thanks to Bob (& Rene for his offer to help). Another parts engine to be completed & running soon I hope.
Thanks for your help guys. Getting bits & pieces for old engines can be pretty difficult over here.
I want to put it out there, Bob was very generous in shipping it to me for no charge (as much as I offered).
The generosity of members is outstanding.

Glad to help Rod, I have been on both ends of members generosity here. I just hope the parts fit as intended.

Yep. I certainly appreciate all the assistance that's been offered to this Aussie misfit over the years, through both CEF and 049 Collectors. There are a number of engines complete & running that otherwise wouldn't have been.
Some how control liners and small engine fans seems to be much friendlier than some other groups. Maybe it's just that we don't get too serious about things and just do it for the fun.
