Sounds like you or someone had fun running your Shrike to get it to the condition you describe!  I have the Black RC and Yellow one with out the roll cage. All gooey with aged castor. Played with hard and put away wet.  
Been doing some searching for parts and canopies.  Found a place called Redvenomrepro. That has a few parts if you scroll down the list.
