First I thought the rockets were added to the COX productline after the acquisition by Estes in 1996, but have just read the previous owner Leisure Dynamics had the rockets in the scope from the early 1970-s.
Well I would have loved to walk the COX Center tour but was late by almost 25 years to arrive there at 1505 East Warner Ave., Santa Ana California first in 2014 only..the Cox Center tour picture ad shows models assembled so it must have been shot before 1971 after which only engines were produced in Santa Ana and the models were assembled in Minnesota:

You are right about the date, photos must be taken early1970s. Red Baja Bug and AA - Fueler (?) shown.

I have been looking for the large Cox Saturn 5 ready to fly in the box for years. Not many around. Its about 3 feet tall.
