Pee Wee .020 Reed Valve
Hi friends
I have for a long time used the black filament from inside the ancient diskettes and cut my own reed valves. They have performed excellent in my widows and QRC and many other .049. Often outperforming anything I can buy ready made. Occasionally a very slight reed float above 19,000 rpm but really not much. As long as below 19,000 they run awesome.
I was wondering the peewee. The diskette I cut for the reed valve is the straight type. The cross type is too difficult without a press cutter. But the straight type like the mylar ones we buy. The cut easy and they run excellent. Can a Peewee also run with the straight type reed? I have a number of mylar cross types for my Peewees as spare so no problem. But with getting cabin fever was wondering if anyone has run Peewees with the straight mylar reed valve or do they still require the cross type reed valve. Thought would wait for a few expert comments before I start tearing apart my nicely running Peewees to try the straight valve?
Thanks
Ice

Ice,
Cox Pee Wee engines will run perfectly fine with a rectangular reed but don't broadcast this to the world as we still need to sell our star-shaped reeds
