I make them a little out of focus so they don't tempt others.
Didn't work......
I still wanna jump through the screen and scarf them down
Next time I'm in Wickenburg visiting my aunt and cousins, I'll have to jaunt your way and stop by for dinner!

Sounds like a plan guys. I haven't been to Wickenburg in quite a while. I use to go through there and catch 89 at Congress and head up to Yarnell and on to Prescott Valley and Cottonwood before heading back down I-17. I get some good Snow pictures on that run. I even get snowed on occasionally.
I have 1 helping of the Enchiladas left for this evening.

Cool! I have been through there a few times, although it's been years now. It was a pretty sparsely populated area as I remember.
The field target airgun club use to have some shoots at a fellow members property in that area.

Did you maybe mean Skull Valley?.. I have been through there before, You pass that cool little cemetery on the left on the way to Prescott. That would be a wonderful motorcycle ride. I'm always jealous when I see guys on motorcycles out that way.

Ooh mama, my focus zeroed right in on the lower right of that
plate, Charles.
After living in L.A. for 6 yrs, I still judge a Mexican stop by their
refritos. Pretty weak around here, but my wife does them
justice. The Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Korean and Indian were
all a lot better on the West coast. I sound like a jaded idiot,
therefore....

P.S. I'm back on your engines.

OhMyGosh that looks good. Fortunately I have at least something to eat now, or I'd be starving also after seeing that meal.
I'm just having a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

Same here. After living and working in Arizona and California, none of the Mexican food comes close. Texans pride themselves on "TexMex" but melted Velveeta mixed with salsa and calling it "Queso"...... sucks to high heaven !!!!

"working in Arizona and California, none of the Mexican food comes close. "
I Moved from Austin to San Jose in 2000
Spent almost a year looking for "real Mexican food" (Tex-Mex)
making friends along the way, one guy explained to me:
Texas = Gulf of Mexico side
California = Baja side
Texas = wrapped in tortilla, covered in cheesy sauce
California = fish
STOP trying to make one into the other - enjoy what ya get.
This was some grade- A fantastic advice. I now enjoy some of the best Mariscos plates in the world, literally 4 doors down from my house. But I can also go to the restaurants where the family is from mainland, and get closer to Tex-Mex I also love
The biggest problem with this whole "getting older" thing? If I eat all I want to? my belly gets large, I cannot see my feet, and I don't feel good. --- so moderation and small tastes is becoming the key.
that plate from Tlaquepaque? AND a beer? I almost never drink beer... was delicious, but required lots of exercise to make it go away
Here are some open faced shrimp delights from the Mariscos place down the street on Sunday - Ex was dropping off the son, and both were "starving"

Re: This Evenings Dinner
To add to this thread, as military family we moved a lot. Several locations in the 50~70s exposed us to various cuisines.
Relative: El Paso Fort Bliss, Colorado Springs Fort Carson, and Los Crucis NM White Sands Missile range, and Albuquerque NM Sandia Army Base
In those days my Officer Father enlisted paid "help" for my pregnant mom (young growing larger Catholic family) each "come in" or "live in help" did cleaning, babysitting, and cooking...they all spoke Spanish-- Hint
at very young age exposed to traditional Mexican foods from the above areas.
Twice to Central Texas Fort Hood during my career.. Retired here 1996---The so called Tex Mex here is awful and bland. Best ever was Colorado Springs followed by any in Los Crucis NM....flavorful, spicy if you wanted hotter, and worth the experience.
There are NO, none, nadda, zero ----USA Franchise Mexican food restraints or fast food ----worthy...In my not so humble opinion
My Dad 1958 Paternal father of 6, I am eldest:

Fonda San Miguel was THE place for Sunday brunch
Gueros on Congress for a light lunch
Amaya's Taco Villiage was alwasy good too.
Chuys, whiich is almost a national chain now, is Tex Mex, but conosistent and delicous
Anyhow - im out here with the hippies, and i'm pleased enough with the mariscos by me

Fred, that's a terrific picture. Something to be real proud of. That was the first rubber powered model I ever built. As bad as I built it, it still flew quite well and I never forgot it.

Yeah Fred, great picture, needs to be in a frame.
My youngest daughter of 13 bought a “Don’t tread on Me belt buckle and wears it every day. I asked her if she knew the history behind it. Of course she said no. I expressed my thoughts and then I made her look it up as I felt if she is going to wear something that has meaning she should know what it means!
