Has anyone heard about the ML Midge engine? It's a .5cc diesel engine, avaliable only throught plans, made by Mark Lubbock...

I managed to get my hands on those plans, and having access to machining tools, I think it would be a great first project... However, I have no idea on how to machine the crankcase (I'm new to all of that, just machined a few cylinders)... Has anybody seen some building pictures, or made one of them?

But this site is amazing.

They have an amazing amount of detail on nearly every engine ever made.

I have the chance to have those tools in the workshop of my engineering school, but I don't know if it's precise enought Huh...

I've already read that page, but it only talks about machining the crankcase, not the other parts Sad

If I manage to make one that runs, you'll be the first to be informed Wink

I think it's worth a try.
But I reccomend also posting this in the diesel forum because you might be able to get more help from there.

It looks great, but more difficult to make Huh... ...

Are the plans avaliable in metric or they are imperial?
