Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Thanks Duke. Jacob actually has a backup in case you break it, but it just wouldn't be the same after that. I don't want anyone to fly it if they're not completely comfortable with the idea.

Say, after you get done with it, send it to Rusty so he can run the Traveling Engine with it.
Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
If you send it to me I will fly the traveling engine with it.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Ah Duke, it sounds like a fun idea, but let's don't. That's just begging for trouble. That prop might be getting stressed now and belly landing with the Li'l Satan is a risk I got away with the first time.duke.johnson wrote:Ok, PM me with your address.
Thanks though.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Ok, We have nice weather for the next couple days, I'll see if I can't fly the prop tuesday. If I can't, it's off to Johor. Malaysia, if I can get in touch with him to make sure he still wants it.
Ew (tru168) are you there? I'll PM you also.

Hi,
Yup, I'm here. its up to you , let you decide, my friend,
Or maybe you can find out the shipping cost first, if it really cost you a lot to ship it to Asia, then you can pass it to Rusty, and I can see how he "abuse " that small wooden prop.
Ew

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
I punched in the numbers to the UPS shipping rates site and it said just over a hundred dollars. That sound right?

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Duke, what would it cost to send it to France? I just checked my invoice of August last year and I paid 23,2 EUR to get the TP to the US. According to my post tarifs, it will be about the same price to send it to the Far East from here but to make sure I'll contact our local post office tomorrow. Do you know the exact weight? On my label of last year, it says 0,154 kg.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Sending anything international with tracking is cost prohibitive, I used First Class International to tru168 before for a reasonable cost and it got there fine.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Hi all,
I received quite a lot of goodies from members here, I found that shipping cost actually varies depends on different location in US. I understand the situation and hope Duke won't feel bad about it. Glad to see the travelling prop actually travelled for more than one year and back to Jacob.
Jacob, can you please snap a photo of the prop and the signed card after received the travelling prop ?
Now I'm thinking that sending the travelling engine might cost even more...... .

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
It's coming home! We can compile a photo journalistic story to review its travels.

Yes I'll take a bunch of pictures. I could take it to the post office and see exactly what it would cost to send it to Malaysia and back.
Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Hi Jacob,
Thanks for willing to find out the shipping cost from your place. Will wait for your news then .

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
If it turns out being a lot, I could possibly send it to one of the guys here who have sent you things before and they could then forward it to you. I would like you to have the chance to have the prop.
