Christmas Light Prank Empty Christmas Light Prank

Post  Admin Mon Dec 16, 2013 7:27 am

This is from a local radio show I listen to daily on AM 1500 KSTP called Garage Logic. About 15-16 years ago, a guy called in to share a prank he was playing on his neighbor by messing with the Christmas lights on the guy's barn. Over a span of several calls, this guy sits on his back deck watching his neighbor freak out as the caller flashes and dims the lights. For the last decade and a half, this series of calls are replayed on air in the days before Christmas. You'll have to listen to it, you may even want to open the video in a new window so you can listen while browsing the forum or doing something else online.

We've already had people SHOT out here for messing with other people's Christmas decorations.  I suspect there are other examples nation-wide too.

Draw your own conclusions.

Well Dave, I'm sure if you did it to someone who you really didn't know or you stole the plastic light up baby Jesus, you may get shot. If you listen to the whole recording, you can tell they are good friends that seem to pull stuff on each other in the past. He's just having a little fun.

Well Jacob I understand a prank as long as it doesn't go too far.

In the case that I reported earlier today it was an act of malicious vandalism by unknows one of whom was shot and seriously injured.

Seems to me there are a whole lot of people willing to "drop the hammer" on the slightest provocation even upon the occassion of the Christmas season. The problem isn't so much the "gun" as the people that use them irresponsibly. It's become increasingly prevalent and I'm very confident that I know why.

It's a disintegrantion of stardards which once held our nation together. Loosening of standards is far easier the tightening standards again.

If you liked the prank, you may also like this.

This guy called in back in 2009 complaining about people driving buy his house to see his elaborate Christmas light display. He shuts off the lights when a car or bus stops in front of his house. A few years later he calls back in and we learn that he is not only still doing it but he is receiving a grant and using the electricity off the nearby light pole.
