Vintage ingition U/C on ebay past
I went all Lady Ga ga on this one but when it passed my "hey, get a grip" zone I passed. But, I would love to own it.

Anyone else follow it?
Scroll on over to the flight control picure. Looks like flaperons with no elevator control...

I found that strange too. Looks like the control arm is just hooked up to the inner flaperon, unless there is something that doesn't meet the eye.

I looked at the pics on ebay and don't see any elevator control surface.
Odd.

That's a large engine for such a small plane , but I am sure you need it with all the extra baggage . Is there people out there that still fly these vintage air craft ? I wish I had my dad old engines he ran /flew I am sure they were ignition . I asked him and he cant remember the name 's of the engines , they made there on planes out of plywood and flew in a cow pasture .

Hi Eric, They may have been Ohlsson & Rice or Forster engines, which were popular. G.H.Q. was another..
This is an Ohlsson & Rice .60 circa 1941
and a Forster .29
and a G.H.Q. .517
"Lieven" would like this G.H.Q-powered snow-car for sure!!

Big engine, but a 24" wingspan. With swinging that large prop there must have been a lot of torque.
I wonder if it was ever flown. I don't see how with that control set-up. There must be vintage events staged around the country, I would like to attend one.
