Cox Engine of The Month
Todays haul and help needed.

Todays haul and help needed.
I took a chance on a craiglist find and was awarded this haul for $130. I think I did ok, not sure. I grabbed what I thought looked neat or what I might could use.
Here is a picture of what I purchased.
Now.... The next few pictures are just a bit of what I left behind. It looks like many of these engines are for racing or pylon. I have no idea what they are. If you see anything you like or can just tell me what they are that would be great. I would be willing to pick up anything on your behalf. Also mounted on planes were a Cox conquest RC various Foxes and Veco's etc.
I am trying to sort these for an older lady with a terminally ill husband. The garage was dark so the pics are not the best sorry. I was overwhelmed...

Ron, the Tiger G-.15 with the red venturi insert is certainly a collectible especially if new. That in itself is an expensive engine. Are the blue heads also Tiger .25's ? I sent you a e-mail. Ken

Ken,
The Blue Head ST's say G-15 but have .19 stamped on the lugs so I assume they are .19's.
I replied to your email.

Looks like you picked up a few Fox combat motors. Are they hot/fast ones? My boys and I had several, and after going through them, only half of them were hot engines. My oldest son is going to run the hot Fox's in the Bladder Grabber this year. Nice score Ron

Duke,
They are Fox MK IV's. I don't know much about them. I think they came out in the early 80's and were the hot ticket at the time. They are being re-homed.
Overall I feel I did well. I will probably go back for more as I saw a lot of stuff and couldn't wrap my brain around it.
The only Cox engine I saw was a very nice early Pee Wee and an RC Conquest.

Wow nice find, there's even an Erickson MCC 120 there or at least most of one anyway MCC stands for "Migrating Combustion Chamber" it's a rather strange animal haven't seen one of them in a while. (The bandit is curious)

This Erikson was on Ebay Australia. It did sell. They quite expensive. I hope the lady gets what it is worth. These were being run by the manufacturer some time ago up at the Toledo RC conference

Thanks guys,
I will pass the info along to the owner. It is a heavy engine.
If anyone knows what the other engines are I am all ears.
