Help to Spain
pkrankow wrote:I don't have the dimensions. Tubing can be split and tightened. The example I linked uses flat sheet that is formed, not tubing. I think there is an excess number of nuts employed in the system as illustrated.

I was thinking of coming up with a simple solution that Mr. Calata in Spain could use and do himself. Tubing may or may not be as readily available there as it is here. So maybe the sheet brass solution would be easier for him to implement there.
I looked at the drawings for the engines, instruction sheets, but did not see any dimensions.
Anyone out the with a ground or RC .020 or .010 cylinder??

.010 cylinder would need a split throttle collar since every one has the flange on the bottom where it seats on the crankcase. Same goes for early .020 cylinders.

Steven,
Theresa just emailed you the Cox 010 and 020 cylinder drawings as my email DB is corrupt and I am presently restoring from the cloud. With over 100,000 emails a lengthy project lol.
Keep in mind that Cox may have made cylinders with different OD's over the years.

Bernie: Thanks for your help. I'll get right on it in my spare time.

Bernie: I hate to ask this question, but are these files for a CAD drawing program? and is there some easy converter I can get/use to read the files since I don't have a CAD program?
edited 10:47p.m. 9-1-15 - to say I have found a free converter for .dwg files. It is actually a trial version of Solid Works a CAD program for Mac computers. None of the other free stuff I found would work without giving away my grandchildren. I still don't clearly see the cylinder outside diameter in the exhaust area, but I can read the numbers.
HD I'm still retired
