Kidding aside.. whittle-down a hardwood dowel-plug to fit inside the cone. You got a table saw? Slot the dowel for the fin, before you cut it to length. Once you get a snug fit; cut a piece of 1/4" plywood for a new firewall and glue it to the plug. Glue the plug into the cone. Retain with a sheet-metal screw through the cowl.. just in case.

With a new firewall.. you'll have the option of running any radial mount reedie on there.. like a Killer Bee for instance..

Rod: Is there a tariff on gifts? If I was to visit Aussie land and forget my prop rod, would anyone get into trouble?  Also can I carry RC gear in and out easily. I want to visit Ekitten2 some day, as well as who ever else is in the flight path and  the Barrier Reef of course.

I don't think the government worries about anything under $1,000 AUD.  The R/C gear coming through customs may attract attention, so make sure you conceal your contraband somewhere else

I am glad this came back around I need to find me a piece of wood to fix this with I see the prop rod ever time I go in my closet one of those rods you put your hangers on mite be the trick ... This thing in my drive way would really throw up some dust /rocks /bugs ... Shoot I wish I had that one on the bay the nautical is in a lot better shape than mine and the price was about the same The person that had it one time glued the heck out of it Eric

P.s. There is a guy who used to sell on eBay who has his own website and sells the engine pod/nacelle for about $19.00. When I switch to the PC I will post his address.

All: I found an old sale for an engine pod/nacelle and I sent the seller an ebaymail and he resonded  that he " MAKES A REPRODUCTION POD FOR THE PROP ROD. THEY COST $18.50EA. + SHIP

2 sources for the engine pod. I think the second one is redvenomrepros (13628) on ebay and the engine pod/nacelle is $19.00, but it may be the $24.00 GUY.
