Re: OS Max .10 RC Very Nice!
I've got 3 of those. They are very nice engines, only 3 oz. (Peter Chinn had it at 3.2 oz., Sceptre Flight: 1966 OS Max 10R/C Engine Test.
They are a good upgrade for a half-A plane, swings a 7x4 prop with easy, carb lacks low speed air bleed but doesn't need it. Will idle for a long time then easily ramps up to full throttle. Baffle plate exhaust restrictor is very effective. At idle and half throtle, sounds muffled. At full throttle puts out the same volume of noise as an unmuffled Cox reed valve engine. Runs well with a short standard non idle bar hot plug.
