Darn thats small (1" H, 1" L, 1/4" W) the width is the killer i ck'ed my small tanks and had something other than the W , Rene may have the ticket with Roddie and those pc.s he has or maybe Jason can whip out a usable one (( making one that small would bee a test of patients )

Yep. I can bridge the top gap without any support. I can manually add support to the bottom port.

Re: Cox Pinto Funny Car - Almost to easy
There may be a hint here..

The manual will tell you for sure.. but it looks to me as though the parts called "bullets" are what close the throttle and deploy the drag-chute. I would guess that a single bullet is threaded-onto the guide-line (and maybe secured by a knot?)somewhere around 3/4 of the way down the track.
???
You may have also seen the below photos.. but I'll post em' because of their relevance..

Hey Chancey, I don't know the history behind the "Bill Schifsky" top-fuel car. The photos are ones that I sourced from the internet some time ago.. when searching "Google-Images" for Cox models. You'd be surprised at what comes-up.
Here's a full-scale Bill Schifsky "yellow-bodied" variant-photo..

Here's the balance of what I have on the Cox Pinto Funny-Car..

Thanks for those pictures roddie, helps a lot. I have never seen what those little "bullets" look like.
I did receive that manual bought on ebay for $13. + and near worthless. A reprint so light it's barely readable, cut at an angle and stapled together randomly. Gotta leave one of my very rare negative feedbacks.
And Jason. They look great. PM sent.

Cox Vega funny car vs Danny Ongais dragster race
Many years ago, we set up a drag race in the basement hallway of our local university. Vega funny car vs the "rail" dragster. No electric starters at the time....
We brought along wax for "burnouts" and set the two cars up to race down the guide strings.
Our biggest problem was getting both engines started at about the same time.
Actual results? (Honest would I lie to this group?)
The funny car beat the dragster off the line but the dragster caught up on the top end to pass the funny car.
Honest

@joeythefix ???
If you added anything, your message must not have gone through. It looks like you only quoted rsv1cox's message (who quoted roddie) above.
