Here are photos of my latest finished project.
A Boddington design "Cardinal" with a custom made Cox Surestart engine with throttle control (throttle ring on exhaust)

The Cardinal was enlarger 125% (about) from the original size to about 44" wing span.
Pull-pull on the rudder for control.
1oz. tank inside the fuse.
Hitec 55 servos for rudder, elevator and throttle control.
Built it in a week (Saturday to Saturday) 8 days.
Simple and easy to build from scratch. Got the plans from Outerzone and enlarged them to 44" wing span.
Same type of design as the Boddington's Tomboy (another good simple plane).

Now wait for a warm enough day to give it a try?

RC Plane Warm enough? I'd worry about the wind...in Chicago! You built a beautiful airplane, always liked the "pull-Pull" controls but never built or used one yet myself. Good Luck on the maiden, let us see some pictures when you do.
