Well I built my MatchStic, Weighs 4.46oz complete without battery but needs
heavier than usual 300mah nicad plus a tad of lead bringing it to 5.9oz to
get correct cg using my new TD 0.010.
Planning to add an undercarriage/ propsaver to reduce lead and perhaps a mount
to move TD forward.

Close date will be 1st of June.

Re:Anyone for a Stick build off
Thanks Mitch, It was a fun build but as usual took twice as long
as I expected. Special feature! 80% 3mm Depron ribs.

lol, i know what you mean. Rushed builds dont go well but build when your mad and see what happens..... peices start breaking so you get madder then more peices break then after a while of angry building you end up with a pile of saw dust instead of a new awsome looking airplane to fly its happened to me a couple of times

Re: Anybody up for a "Stik" build off?

I see the stick your doin' is for 020 and the Joy stick I have is an 049 size stick.
How do you post pics here?

Welcome to the forum Ozmo, can't help you on Joystick but there
are all kinds of variants of the Ugly Stick that started it all.
They are just sport radio models and I always thought they
were a take off of the Fokker Eindekker. excuse spelling!
Still struggling to post pics myself but some of the wiser
heads should be able to help you. They are a very helpful bunch.

Found your Joystick Ozmo,
It's from the 1975 RCM, designed by Noel Rozelle.
A really nice 39" span low wing model for 0.049 engines, TD 0.049
would be perfect.
Found plans on www.outerzone.co.uk did a search for joystick.
Might even build one. John

Re: Anybody up for a "Stic" build off
Well Done! I would build fuse upside down, add a few formers ( none shown),
add ailerons, reduce dihedral, reduce height of landing gear, you don't need
all that clearance for a 6" prop and put the nice throttled medallion I got
from Bastiaan of Cox EU in it. Lovely!
But before I even think of that better finish the half finished models that
are on the bench right now. John

Re: Anybody up for a "Stik" build off?
Hi,
I bought the kit off fleabay because in the 80's I built some from magazine plans with a buddy. We made 8 kits and I still have 1 left and the Fleabay kit. The ones we made up have foam wings. I think I'm hijacking someones nice thread though .....

Re: Anybody up for a "Stic" build off
Just run my TD 0.010 for the first time. What an excellent little bit
of kit. Delighted with it, no wonder you guys love it.
Duration on the optional tank a bit limited though, didn't time it
but seemed to be about 2-3 mins. Need to get soldering bolt out
and knock up a tank.

They are great runtime on average only 90 seconds though.
Re: Anybody up for a "Stic" build off
Hi Indra,
No I've had the TD 0.020 for years but about a month ago got a
nib TD 0.010 and ran it for the first time tonight.
Seemed to have just about enough peep to fly Matchstick but
I can see something bigger in it after initial flight.
BTW posted my Clan yet? John
