i have a cox .020 with a high comp teedee cyl head and the crankcase seems to have a burr where the crankcase meets the back plate. How do i fix this?

I don't think the knurled TD glowhead is any different than the regular one.

As to the crankcase...... Just lap (sand) the case on on a flat surface preferably a piece of sheet glass and the burr should all but dissapear. Use very fine grit wet dry paper.

thanks Ron, it has the ring around the top of the head like the larger teedee .049 has

I use 800 or 1000 grit for that operation.

I would go 800 or more like Rusty suggested.

Take a look at the combustion chamber and compare it with a regular head. You'll see what I mean.

This is what your head looks like, right? The knurling only indicates early production.
