Cox Engine of The Month
Reedy test stand

Reedy test stand
I have about a half a dozen reed valve Cox engines in various states of repair and disrepair. Back in the 90's I fooled around alot with TD's and got them to run pretty well. I am still trying to get a handle on the reedies and was looking for a test stand that I could quickly change the engine and make adjustments and not have to fool around with the 4 tiny back plate mounting screws.
I wanted something that was:
Simple (KISS)
tool free to change engines
strong
quick change
and built from what I had laying around.
it is made from 1/8" aluminum plate and 1/4-20 fasteners. there are 3/32 roll pins to locate the holes in the backplate and the clamp pieces. I am trying to post pictures and I hope they show up.[img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]
