From the .049 collectors group

Subject: [049Collectors] permatex gasket remover for removing paint from cox plastics
To: 049Collectors@yahoogroups.com
Date: Saturday, May 11, 2013, 4:34 PM

I recently got a cox sand rail that someone painted 3 times.it had really thick layers of paint on it.permatex gasket remover worked great to remove it and didn't hurt the plastic metal flake finish just to let you all know

that is interesting, I will have to give it a try .I have been using brake fluid on the planes ,but some types of paint wont lift with brake fluid . have you tried your stuff on the more ABS looking plastic on the cox planes there seems to be different plastics that cox used .some of the plastics seem to be more sensitive then others to chemicals .Roger
