Re: Todays Haul
The RC Bee was first manufactured in 1979... You're lucky, it still has its rubber muffler... Mine didn't come with
Re: Todays Haul
Lol Ya. It seems to work out like that. What is the point of the rubber ring and what is the year of the Babe Bee?

That Babe bee is from the 70's - thick neck.
Re: Todays Haul
What is the purpose of the rubber ring? Does it just slow it down more or just make it quieter?

Makes it quiter it is the muffler.
Re: Todays Haul
Does anybody recognize the plane it is on?
P.S. I started both motors, the Babe Bee runs amazing and the RCBee is a pain in the butt.

I'll trade you a cox .049 product engine if you like.
Re: Todays Haul
I got it to run, but with a different cylinder piston setup. The ring can fit on my other cylinders but is a little too tight for this one. I will probably grind it down so it will fit.

Re: Todays Haul
Here's some pics. Has good compression. Other than some marks on the cylinder, it's in great condition. New OEM Cox glow head and spring starter.
Re: Todays Haul
Sorry man, but I think I will keep it and run it. My dad likes it a lot and he is trying to get into control line. Thanks for the offer though. The guy I got it from has another one. It is on a GLH (Gone Like Heck) It doesn't have the greatest compression but it has been sitting for awhile. I can find out how much he wants for it. I don't know how I will ship the whole plane though. The wing is attached. The motor is in same condition as mine.

Ok, thanks Jacob.
Re: Todays Haul
I will ask him next time I see him and see if the wing can be detached from the plane.

So anybody recognize the plane? Has a 24 inch wingspan. We think it is a spitfire.

Huh. Maybe I should change it out - doesn't have the brass driveplate.
Re: Todays Haul
There is no need for a brass drive plate they as they only reduce wear over longer periods.
