This is my test bed for Brodak twin setup. Counter rotating props make for very stable flight. Yes with a push of a button the motors start. But you don't get to smell nitro or hear a .049

About 3-1/2 second laps in that last video, it's hauling ass pretty good. Nice work, Brenda.

I enjoyed riding along on both of your recent flights Brenda, the autogyro which is a must have for me and the L-10 which I already have in kit form.
Interesting twin electric that you seem to be able to start and stop at will. Any idea as to maximun in flight battery life?

I used a Brodak timer. Press a button, wait 7 sec, motors go full power. With the other Brodak timer you could set up a 30min flight if you wanted. I went with the preset timer as it is cheaper and fills a need. I can get a few flights off the battery but according to the Guru at KotRC it is really best to charge battery after each flight. I purchased a iMAX B6 off ebay for less than $20 to charge it. It works well and is quick for a LiPO charger. The electric option is for kids in San Pedro. City asked for something that wasn't as loud and safer for kids to use. I spoke with Brodak via email on the best option for what we where trying to do and they came up with a shopping list for me. I think electric takes all the fear out of multi-engine CL aircraft. I'm working now on a 4 engine version where the inboard are on one timer and outboard are on another. With that setup the pilot can choose slow 2 engine flight or much faster 4 engine.
2 Brodak BH-1837 Electric Motor
1 Brodak BH-1845 Battery 7.4V x 850 mA
2 Brodak BH-1862 ESC 12 amp
1 Brodak BH-1868 Timer
1 Y cable
1 Electric Propeller
1 Electric Propeller reversed

That looks like too much fun! Don't remember where, were or ware but someone was making a "sound generator" to give realistic sounds for electric warbirds. Must have been a small battery powered amplifier with speaker mounted on the interior of the fuse. Could be updated to a "app" on the smart phone , the kids could insert their earplug connection to the smartphone, which would pick up the RPM of the engines and convert it back to the sound of a screaming 049!
Brenda, those rolling take offs and landings were great. I wish my landings were that good. Thanks for the videos!

Funny you should mention noise maker. That is what I am working on today. I did see the one that was electric and cost like $160+. That is not a option. What I have now is two soda straws, one fat and one skinny inside the cowl. I then placed some celo tape on motor with bit hanging out. Tape strikes soda straw and boom sound! Not ear splitting but it is a sound
