Thanks for your interest.
The engine posted in the Cox Engine of the Month is my first prototype. It was designed to improve consistent running of a Bee style engine. The venturi internal diameter is sized for proper fuel draw on suction. The TD crankshaft/ front housing is mounted like Enya engines, using 4 screws. The engine was designed and built without drawings. Everything new was hand fitted. A No. 1 cylinder and low compression head was used for break in.
The engine was run using 10% nitro and a 6x3 prop. RPMs was a steady13k.

I noticed a spring in the fuel supply line , have you tried this before on Tee Dee engines?
I've had trouble getting my TD to draw fuel from a tank.

NICE!! you did a very good job on the machining and looks thought out to what you wanted , 13K is a good start out with a steady run with only 10% nitro .

The hardest part in this build was deciding what steps to take machining the parts. I am not a trained machinist and any one with a lathe and mill can build one. It all starts with an idea, and CEF fueled the fire!
After watching Rusty's demonstration on the spring verses no spring I felt that having one in there should help keep fuel in the line. Never thought of using it on a tanked TD though.
I also have Cox based twins both geared and grafted case. All are prototypes and all are designed to be flown.
