Cox Engine of The Month
Enya SS 25 "Super Sport"

Enya SS 25 "Super Sport"
I was given this engine as a "non runner" and so I put it on one side. I decided to run it up today and could only get it to splutter.
I took the plug out to check it and it glowed nice and bright but I dropped it and it went into the pond.
I fitted a new Enya plug and it started first flick - the way I like an engine.

A very good engine Ian. I had a SS .30 which was pretty much identical and it was outright awesome. Enya made things a bit confusing because these were offered BB and bushed. The .25 also was offered in a AAC version which from what I've read is a impeccable engine.

A thing of beauty Ian. The SS engines command top dollar at swap meets so I always pick them up, admire and then put them back down. Glad it works well for you. Glow plugs are funny little devils.

That's a stout looking engine ,How did the run go other than the plug dropping ?

Re: Enya SS 25 "Super Sport"
As far as I could tell - not knowing the true history - this negine had not been started before and it is certainly not run in.
So I ran it rich (for a couple of minutes) and didn't open it up. I need to check it over to see if it is AAC or standard build before I run it in.
It is not ball bearing but sadly - it doesn't have that diesel bark!
I also used a 10 x 4 propeller which is probably a bit too much for this motor.

The AAC version has a red prop washer.
