The canopy on one of my old cox Blue Corsairs has yellowed with use and time. Is there any way that I could remove the yellowing? I tried polishing it but it has not worked. Here is a pic. All help appreciated.

You could try one of the headlight lens cleaning/polishing kits, Turtle Wax etc..  I like Mequiars myself but all work well.  You will have to manually do it and it might be time consuming.

Hello DavidII1984
Thanks for the information. I tried using clorox bleach and it did not work for me. First I tried mixed with water and later pure bleach but I had no luck.

I agree with the headlight lens cleaning kit! If it works as good as it did on my REALLY bad truck headlights,it will surely work great on those canopies. Elbow grease not included! 🙂

Something about Cox and other plastic airplane canopies, they seem to go missing.  I have two Cox Corsairs and one is missing the canopy, the other is blue and therefore not yellowed.  Flew one last year, or was it the year before.

This one was missing the canopy from the kit too, but I made one from balsa.  Had to be large to contain the receiver.

Great article in the January issue of Air Classics magazine.  The cover page Corsair is for sale in the same issue.  3 million $ and change.
